There will come a point when a job does need to become a career, so when applying for work you need to ask yourself if it’s really something you want to be doing for the rest of your life. If not then it’s time to find another career.

It seems like a rather obvious question, but it’s one that many people tend to stumble on. Something you need to remember is that there is only one of you, and there will only be one of you. This makes you more valuable than you could ever know. Because there is only one of you, you need to build yourself up so that employers will know that you are something special. Even if you do not want to be the center of attention, you need to remember that you are competing for a job that dozens of other people want. Being the center of attention is really the best thing that you can do in this situation.
